Car freshie designs

This current website is for my car freshie designs. At a later time if I decide to add other type of products , they will be listed here as well.

*****I will do custom designs on car freshies, Just let me know the scent,mold design and anything additional you want on it such as color and or glitter, fringe, etc and I will let you know what I can do along with the time frame/cost

Background

I first heard about car freshies through my daughter in late 2023. She started designing them. I started doing my research on them and thought well "what a cool idea". Everyone is in the cars everyday going to school, work, hobbies, etc. Why not make something that everyone could use to scent their car up. So I started to make a few in the beginning of 2024.

Car freshie designers can make up to various type of freshies. For example they use the cute cactus mold using 1 scent such as Girls Trip and design it using green mica powder and paint it with yellow and white and then turn around and make another cactus cutie using different color of mica powder of pink and paint it blue and green and use a different scent , it is possible. Some designers use the same scent but each design is different and some use same design mold but color differently but use same scent. So really there is no wrong or right way. Just depends on best sellers/designs

Things needed for car freshies

Molds

There are so many different designs for molds . Must have deep silicon mold that is acceptable for baking at high temps.

Fragrance oils/scents

Fragrance oils can be purchased seperately and added to the aroma beads. Directions that most people use are 8:2 or 4:1 ratio. Which means for every 8 oz of beads there are 2 oz of oils or 4 oz of beads to 1 oz of oil.

Aroma beads

Aroma beads can be purchased separately or prescented. If used unscented then you must follow the 8:2 or 4:1 ratio as described in the fragrance section. Also for unscented must mix with oils in either a mason jar or plastic container with PP5 on bottom of container and must cure before use. If using scented beads then they are ready for use. Some people add mica powder during the mixing phase prior to the curing process. But most people add powders after the curing process but prior to baking.

Accessories

(1)Accessories such as fringe or adding things within the mold such as stones/foil can spruce up any design. (2)Glitter is not required but can put a sparkle on the design (3)acrylic paint or sharpie paint marker the mold once baked (4) flathead nail or eyescrew -Something like a eye screw can be used to hang the freshie or using a flat nail inside the mold when baking to create a hole to hang from. (5)must use oven or toaster oven to bake freshie in-different ovens have different baking times compared to others (6)string/cord -something for the molds to hang from rearview the mirror (7)mica powder/pigment powder -to create the color of the freshie. (8) must have a cookie sheet/baking sheet to bake freshie on (9)scent proof bag to place finished car freshie in.

Mason jar or proper container

Mason jars are good for mixing fragrance oils and beads in or using proper containers with PP5 on bottom of container. Once beads and oils are mixed, they have to cure for certain amount of time before use.
